What I Do
I begin my paintings with a textured base without the finished image in mind.
My collages are a little more intentional in process and imagery.
I truly enjoy the freedom of monotype printmaking.
Rochester New York based artist Sherry Tulloch is an abstract painter, printmaker and collage art-maker.
Located in Rochester’s exciting cultural district – The Neighborhood of the Arts – her studio is open to visitors for special events and studio tours.
Subliminally worked layers of texture and color develop into hidden patterns and non-representational imagery.
“My curious nature and interest in “ologies” – archaeology, anthropology, and genealogy, undeniably play a part in my work method, color choices and final presentation.”
